the darkest hour

Image
had the opportunity to see the movie 'the darkest hour' for an advance screening. i was first nervous since i am not a fan of ghostly effects for movies and so i thought it was a horror film, but because i was going with friends i was a bit brave haha. about the movie? i appreciate it, it's not everyday that i get to watch these kinds of films but this one i think captured the essence of the idea that we might not be really alone in this planet, that maybe but i hope not that one day it could possibly happen to our dear planet. Also it was refreshing to watch the setting of the movie in a not so common or usual venue thus adding to the suspense and excitement. Through the end i was expecting more action or at least a full blast fight scene or the resolution and the success that they were able to actually end the fight but i guess i was left hanging or because we usually have happy endings that we have beaten the alien invasion, oh well but all in all it was a great film and...

ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines | 1ForFun

Image
Today, the department of Tourism launched it's campaign slogan for our country as a tourist destination. #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines and #1ForFun has been a trending topic on Twitter, it shows that social media can really boost the popularity of a certain topic or whatever there is that needed it. I believe we should support our very own country, yes there is also another controversy underlying the said slogan but so what? that was like 1950's "It's more fun in Switzerland" some thinks it was copied, others say it might be coincidence but whatever happens we still have one goal. To rise above all the negativity our country has gone through. Let's go Philippines! I personally think it's us the Filipino's who make this country a place worthy to visit =) Positivity and Good Vibes let's volt in!

my milky&sunny breakfast

Image
This was the day i decided that we should try this new breakfast hub in Kapitolyo, Pasig City. apart from it's just a tricycle away from our office and our home, people talk about the place so well we might as well try. j's order was red and green bell pepper, potatoes and sausage omelette and i say it tastes really good i mean not the usual omelette. It was served neatly and looks yummy and true enough it made his day sunny! mine is the breakfast club sandwich that i wasn't really happy about although the serving was nice there was just too much thousand island dressing that it drowned the flavors of the ham, egg and cheese. every bite tastes like the dressing so i have to separate the loaf which contains it but other than that i think it was good. also we ordered the fresh mango juice and i say it was freshly worth it. too bad the highly recommended chicken and waffles was not available. i could agree with some people that some of the food were a bit pricey for their serv...

Avril Lavigne | LIVE in Manila

Image
Press Release: When singer, songwriter, and musician Avril Lavigne first burst upon the music scene at age 17, she was known as a young, pop-punk tomboy who refused to resort to skin-baring come-ons, preferring to entice the record-buying public with her powerhouse voice, high-spirited melodies, and straight-talking lyrics. Staying steadfastly true to herself and putting music before image paid off both critically and commercially for the Canadian-born artist. Over the course of her three albums, Lavigne scored a string of international hit singles: “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” “I’m With You,” “Losing Grip,” “Don’t Tell Me,” “My Happy Ending,” “Nobody’s Home,” “Keep Holding On,” “Girlfriend,” “When You’re Gone,” “Hot,” and “The Best Damn Thing.” She earned eight Grammy Award nominations, won seven Canadian Juno Awards, and sold more than 30 million albums and nearly 20 million tracks worldwide over the past eight years.  With her multiple creative endeavors and impressive musical su...
